View (for Thoreau), 2007.

Plexi-glas mirrors set into the windows of the sun room at Wave Hill.  The mirrors are hand-engraved with the view that would be visible if the windows were not obscured – with the difference that the view is now overgrown with vegetation as if human habitation of New York had come to an end.
