| A 30-minute
video rear projected into a frame hung on a wall. At first, the video
appears to be a split-screen. Only when the artist’s hand appears
and starts painting does it become apparent that the white expanse on
the left is a canvas obscuring the viewof the room behind. Over time,
the left side of the canvas is painted so as to apparently complete the
view that the canvas is hiding. In fact, the painted is viewis entirely
fictional. It was painted using a live feed monitor viewof the camera’s
view as a reference and has nothing at all to do with the room behind. |
